ManACE Seed Grants 2023 Grant Details
This page reviews eligibility, timelines, specifics about the grant process, as well as the criteria used by the seed grant grant review team when making decisions. Please carefully review this information before moving on to the application phase.
What type of project is eligible?
Any project where you are proposing to spend up to $1,000 to benefit learning at your school or in your classroom community, that also infuses educational technology! ManACE is looking to fund projects that are both innovative and unique, as well as ones that will make a significant difference in your school community and/or classroom learning environment. Projects that clearly demonstrate how they will result in long-term benefits for your learning environment are also prioritized for funding.
When is the application deadline?
The application deadline is Monday, February 27, 2023 at 11:59pm.
Please ensure you submit your application by the due date using the online application form on this website.
When will applications be funded and when will notifications be sent out?
All teachers who applied for grants will be notified of the results through the contact email you provide us with in your application form shortly after decisions are finalized.
What happened to the categories (early years, middle years etc.) that have been part of the application process in previous years?
As part of our continuing review of the seed grant program, we have streamlined the application process. One of the changes we made was to remove the need to apply for a specific category. This year, there are at least six grants of $1,000 each available to K-12 schools across Manitoba. We encourage urban/rural as well as all types of projects from early, middle and senior years classrooms, as well as initiatives from resource teachers, administrators and other teachers who are interested in infusing educational technology in creative and innovative ways for student learning in their schools.
Is a short digital story required as part of the application process this year?
No, only the application form is required for the application for the 2022-2023 grant intake period. We also no longer require a digital presentation or story at the end of your project, although you can choose to create one as a way of sharing your project results!
